Marking the start of a new season

Posted at 6:32 AM on September 22, 2008 by Craig Edwards

Fall colors are exploding in the northland as we transition from summer to winter and the season of autumn.

The equinox occurs at 1044am today.

Our friends at the state climate office prepared a nice summary of the growing season for the state. The Twin Cities regions one of the driest regions. Looking like we have a good chance of showers and thundershowers the next 48 hours.

Autumn leaves

Posted at 8:52 AM on September 22, 2008 by Craig Edwards

while attending my annual retreat with my brothers in Lake Tomahawk Wi this past weekend it was quite enjoyable to linger the loveliness of nature. Lake waters were tranquil for fishing on Saturday and Sunday. While waiting for a nibble, it was wonderful to observe the beauty of the landscape. At one point on Sunday afternoon I observed three eagles soaring overhead.

Autmun colors were exploding from Friday through Sunday in northern Wisconsin. I'm sure the same was true for northern Minnesota. Take time to witness this transition of nature as we celebrate the autumnal equinox.
