Weather forecasters often associated basketball March Madness with meteorological madness of predicting sloppy snow storms. The good people at the Minnesota State Climatologist's office, along with some detailed research by meteorologist Ron Trenda have posted the facts on historical findings of March snow storms.
In short, the record supports a much better chance of reaching 50 degrees during the boy's high school basketball tournament than having a snowfall of four inches or more.
