Friday morning March 7th Minnesota reported the coldest temperature in the 48 contiguous states with -32 degrees F at Kelliher (Beltrami County). The coldest March 7th since 1996 brought some record setting low temperatures to northern communities. The following were new record lows for March 7th.
Orr -26 degrees F
Ely -26 degrees F
Eveleth -29 degrees F
Pine River -26 degrees F (tied 1945)
Kelliher -32 degrees F
Wadena -26 degrees F
Aitkin -25 degrees F
