When the word snow is combined with a busy travel holiday folks usually hang around to hear the details. Last week when forecasters bandied about the potential for a snowfall close to the Twin Cities on Thanksgiving a few friends called upon their favorite weathercaster to clarify for the record.
Let me tell you, there is snow and then there is SNOW! Snow can mean a dusting to a calamity. Significant impact versus a nuisance!
Yes, forecasters a week in advance raised the awareness for travelers that nature may have some snow cooked up for the Thanksgiving menu. If your journey has you headed to points south and east of the Twin Cities you may wish to listen with clarity on the weather you may encounter.
This close call of travel woes was not much more than a couple hundred miles away. Travel safely down Interstate 94 later today. You may well encounter slick roadways just south of the Dells.
