See a new print of a classic Graham Greene thriller

A lot of people have seen The Third Man, the post-WWII thriller written by Graham Greene and directed by Carol Reed. Not as many have seen another collaboration of theirs that is equally thrilling in its own way. The Fallen Idol is about a little boy and his hero, the family Butler (the regal Ralph Richardson) who the boy suspects of murder. Reed makes it visually exciting, although it's set mainly in a mansion. It's funny, tense, touching and entertaining - what a combo. Best yet, there's a new print of it at the Oak Street Cinema starting tomorrow and playing for a week.
