Most Expensive Comedy Ever?

There was a lot of press this year about Hollywood canceling movies or entire production deals when costs ran too high. Tom Cruise got 86'd by Sumner Redstone. Jim Carrey's Used Guys was shut down when the budget ballooned (and Jim Carrey 86'd his agent after that debacle.) But a movie can still slide out of control. It used to be that action pictures cost a lot of money but the LA Times is reporting that Evan Almighty, a sequel to Jim Carrey's Bruce Almighty could cost up to 250 million dollars to make.
