Floyd Floyd Floyd

I couldn't drag myself to any previews this week. There was no mustering any enthusiasm for "My Super Ex-Girlfriend" or "Lady in the Water." The first I figure would have some funny scenes but not hold together. The latter would have M. Night trying to act; that drives me crazy. Plus, I don't have much spare time for movies when the Tour de France finally hits the mountains. Floyd Landis's story has more drama than any movie I've seen since "Matchpoint."
So two quick things: "Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang" should have been seen by more people. It's very entertaining and really funny (but it keep it away from the kids. It's incredibly profane.) And, while M. Night might be delusional, there's someone out there even more deluded. Sylvester Stallone. I can't believe this is being made.
So, back to my favorite subject. Matt Damon is playing Lance Armstrong in a film that will come out next year. Who should play Floyd?
The Riverview Theater will be showing the Tour de France on their big screen tomorrow. You'll have to get there early. The time trials start at 7:30 a.m.

I agree about Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.
It's rare that a film can come along and turn a whole genre on its ear, yet KKBB goes that. When I saw the film, no one got that the titles of each scene were also names of Chandler novels.
It's a film that rewards people who are in the know.
A rarity nowadays.
