Morning clouds and fog thwarted Kevin Burkart's attempt to jump out of an airplane 200 times in one day for charity.

The good news: The skydiving madman topped his goal of raising $60,000 for Parkinson's disease research.

Unsafe conditions Wednesday morning at Skydive Twin Cities in Baldwin, Wis., delayed his first jump. Burkart didn't get started until after 11 a.m.

He gave it a good go, though, finally calling it quits at about 10 p.m. after 150 jumps.

The Post-Bulletin in Rochester jumped into action overnight after hearing reports of a plane crash. The newspaper has been providing regular updates throughout the day.

In this video the newspaper posted, Capt. Bill Reiland of the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office outlines the crash chronology and describes the emergency response.
