In response to a conversation about criticism and arts reporting, I'm paring down what I choose to post in the daily news and reviews column. Anything that looks like a slightly padded press release is passed over; so are pieces that do no more than regurgitate calendar listings. Also, if an article consists of one or two paragraphs followed by five or six photographs, it will not make this round-up. That being said, enjoy the many reviews and news stories that do make the list!
