It is not an "Increase" of tax on the Rich, rather, it is a "tax shift"...that from the middle class, who have been paying more than their fair share, to that of the Rich, who have been operating under freely with huge back taxes adding up; it's time for them to pay their bill. The middle class as overpaid theirs! If the rich don't pay then we all pay!
To prevent the government shut down, MN government should have an emergency plan in place. For example; 50%of the over budget comes from across the board spending cut and the other 50% comes from income tax increase. So the state agencies can plan accordingly. This emergency plan should stay in place until a new budget is sign. It's irresponsible to let the state shut down to occurs!!!
Two things...I TOTALLY agree with writer Roy. It is not an "increase" on the richest. It is an "even it out" They need to pay the same. More would be acceptable, but the same would be fair.
And....Governor Dayton...if you didnt agree you shouldnt not have signed. It is not ONLY about "getting mn. back to work" It is about the cost WE, the middle and poor, pay to "get Mn. back to work. We would have stood behind you. We were standing behind you. We would have taken care of those in need while you did your job in taking care of us.
