WASHINGTON - Incoming U.S. Rep. Rick Nolan has announced that Michael Misterek, who managed Nolan's election bid, will be the chief of staff for Nolan's congressional office.
The chief of staff often serves as a gatekeeper and as top adviser in many congressional offices.
Before running Nolan's campaign, Misterek co-owned a political consulting firm in the Twin Cities and worked on other congressional races and the 2008 Obama campaign. He graduated from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul in 2003.
