Minnesota's delegation splits vote on Balanced Budget Amendment

Minnesota's delegation to the U.S. House split its vote on the so-called Balanced Budget Amendment. The House rejected a proposal to amend the Constitution to require a balanced budget. The vote was 261-165.
The feature examines statements made by Minnesota politicians and checks them for accuracy. Based on data analysis, document reviews and interviews with non-partisan analysts, statements are rated either true, false or inconclusive.
