WASHINGTON - Rep. Michele Bachmann introduced a bill today that would require abortion clinics to provide sound and images of a fetal heartbeat to pregnant women before they proceed with an abortion.

Bachmann has not voted in the House of Representatives since Aug. 1, and she has not introduced a bill in the lower chamber since April 8.

Bachmann will be speaking before the evangelical Values Voters Summit tomorrow evening in the nation's capital, where she's likely to point to her strong record of opposition to abortion. Most of the other GOP presidential candidates will also be speaking at the summit, which will culminate in a presidential straw poll.

So now Bachmann wants to get a law passed requiring that all women who are considering getting an abortion be FORCED to listen to a fetal heartbeat, in the hope that those women will not then get the abortion. Interesting how the very people who are always hollering about how "you can't legislate morality" (i.e., the anti-Socialists such as Michelle Bachmann) are also the most vocal, the LOUDEST people trying to legislate morality when it suits their purpose. There is a word for these people: Hypocrites.

Michele Bachmann and her husband are both very far out. Not good for the U.S. She is running on her own “gay agenda” platform. We are closing schools, laying people off. Families are being foreclosed on and being put out in the streets. And all this Republican running for President and her husband can do is talk about is “praying away the gay”. It is a good money maker for her, but we have bigger things to do, and I am hopping God has too. If you or your church has the gay agenda on your mind, all the time you may need to set down and talk with someone. We need to start looking at what is best for the country. Not our own religion’s views, that blow in the wind.
