The New York Times is reporting that GOP presidential candidate and 6th District Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann has a book deal with Sentinel Publishing.

Sentinel declined to comment when contacted by Minnesota Public Radio News, and the Bachmann campaign did not immediately respond to an MPR News inquiry. But according to the NYT Bachmann's memoir is tentatively expected to be released this fall and Wall Street Journal columnist John Fund will be helping to write the book.

According to the NYT blog post, "One person who saw Ms. Bachmann's proposal said the book was largely biographical, an account of the formation of her political and economic ideas."

Earlier this week at a 2012 GOP candidates' debate, Bachmann announced she had filed paperwork with the Federal Elections Commission to run for president. Bachmann is planning a formal announcement and campaign kickoff from her Waterloo, IA birthplace later this month.

So it looks like her presidential bid is already paying off for her.
