Jeb Bush, the former governor of Florida, will be in Minnesota next Tuesday to discuss education issues with state lawmakers. Bush will discuss how he changed Florida's K12 system during his time as governor. He will also discuss other issues.

Bush is making the trip at the request of GOP Senate Majority Leader Amy Koch and GOP House Speaker Kurt Zellers. The event is open to both Republican and DFL state lawmakers.

No word on whether Bush will be holding a fundraiser or doing any other political activity during his time in Minnesota.

Update: A spokeswoman for Gov. Bush says no other events are scheduled besides the event and a meeting with Gov. Dayton.

Minnesotans would be wise to ignore any of Jeb's questionable advice on a subject he has no credentials whatever to be pontificating upon! Jeb is on a zealous circuit ride pushing an item high on the GOP's agenda--reducing funding to public schools systems throughout the country. This guy trashed our system here in FL, came up with a series of gawdawful schemes that only harmed our children but enriched his cronies in the test-printing and grading industry! Run, don't walk away from this charlatan! He could care less about the quality of any child's education. With the Bush's, it's all about scheming to get their hands on government funds to enrich themselves!

Devious Jeb, media hog is despised in Florida the worst Governor ever. Our schools, economy, environment, homeownership, healthcare and elections are in chaos from his ‘leadership’. Jeb was clearly out to ruin our teachers and schools for his profit.

When is Jeb home? His PR firm has a press release several times weekly about his appearances out of state to promote his bogus education plan. Who is funding these trips?

Fair warning Minnesota Devious Jeb used state pension funds to buy Enron stock just prior to the collapse. Do you really want to trust your children’s future to his devious plans?

Neil Bush founded Ignite a company that provides software to help students take standardized tests. Critics say it doesn't look right for Neil Bush to be marketing his software to Florida schools. McGraw Hill publishers of textbooks and tests are long time friends of the Bush family. Follow the money. Standards are easily changed prove the value of changes in education.

Devious Jeb’s buddy Michelle Rhee was caught cheating on achievement tests in Washington D.C. to promote her agenda. There was a pattern of changed answers detected by computers.
The system of rewarding teachers and schools for performance is wide open for abuse.
