MPR's Midday will feature the candidates for Minnesota Secretary of State on Tuesday. DFL incumbent Mark Ritchie and Republican Dan Severson will debate the issues between 11:15 and 11:50 tomorrow morning.

In an ad for Mark Ritchie, he says that all of our voices should be heard. Some voices are not being heard. After one is released from prison, I think one's civil rights to vote are not returned for 7 years in Minnesota. As the person has served her or his time for the felony, would you (each candidate) reduce the number of years before an ex-offender can vote? If so, by how much and why? If not, why?
