State Rep. Tom Emmer, R-Delano, is launching a new web site for his gubernatorial campaign.

The site, emmertruth, will be devoted exclusively to answering negative attacks from the other Republican frontrunner, Rep. Marty Seifert, R-Marshall. In a message to fellow Emmer supporters, Rep. Mark Buesgens, R-Jordan, said the Seifert campaign has gone negative because Emmer has caught up in the GOP delegate race.

"The Seifert attacks are coming in the form of direct mail, phone calls, press releases, e-mails from surrogates, literature at conventions, and whispers in the back hallway," Buesgens wrote. "Let me be clear: this is not a two-way street. The Emmer campaign has not initiated a single attack on Marty's record or personal life. Tom is running a positive campaign about returning prosperity to Minnesota and prefers to talk about job creation. We have answered Marty's negative attacks and will continue to set the record straight."

One of Emmer's steering committee chairs has been sending negatove attacks on Seifert around for two months now. She also started a whisper campaign at recent conventions. Leave it to whiny Mark Buesgens to express outrage when people call Emmer's record onto question.

Still waiting for an explanation from Emmer or his campaign about his campaign reform bill that is an attack on the constitution.
