The PAC board for Education Minnesota, the state's largest teacher's union, did not back a candidate for governor over the weekend and it's unlikely to do so until after the February 2nd precinct caucuses.
"The PAC Board didn't make a decision this weekend," Education Minnesota spokesman Doug Dooher said. He also said the PAC Board's next meeting isn't scheduled until February making it unlikely that the teacher's union will organize behind one candidate at caucuses.
Dooher did say, however, that the board could decide to meet between now and the next meeting. He said he couldn't provide too much information because the PAC board is supposed to keep their discussions private until they announce an endorsement.
Education Minnesota and the SEIU are the two major unions that haven't yet endorsed a candidate.
Is spokesperson DOUG DOOHER a relative of the President of the Union TOM DOOHER?? Interesting.....
They are brothers.
