The Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board has notified state GOP officials that it will take up their complaint against DFL House Speaker Margaret Anderson Kelliher during a closed executive session on Jan. 12.
The letter to party leaders says the board will "consider the matter" and will not disclose any information from its investigation, "except as required to carry out the investigation or take action in the matter."
Republicans filed the complaint last week after news that Kelliher and her gubernatorial campaign directed some donors to the DFL party to help pay for her access to a voter database. The DFL later said the move was illegal and Kelliher said she had made a mistake.
