Sen. Tom Bakk, DFL-Cook, announced today that Dave Griggs will lead his campaign for the DFL endorsement for governor.

Bakk, the chairman of the Senate Taxes Committee, has been in the race since May. He is among 11 DFL candidates who've filed paperwork to run for governor.

Bakk praised Griggs in a news release.

"Dave's first job after college was working on Sen. Paul Wellstone's 2002 campaign," Bakk said. "Since that time he has built an impressive resume working on DFL campaigns, most recently for the Minnesota DFL Coordinated Campaign. As campaign manager, Dave is bringing extensive field experience to my team."

Griggs is from St. Louis Park. He graduated from New York University and the University of St. Thomas School of Law.
