Pawlenty terminates gubernatorial committee

Gov. Pawlenty announced today that he filed the official paperwork to terminated his campaign for governor. The move was expected since Pawlenty announced in June that he won't run for a third term. Pawlenty's campaign announced that he donated $284 thousand to the Republican political organizations. He also donated $290 thousand to ten charities. Here's the list:

Political Organizations:

Republican Party of Minnesota, $204,000

House Republican Campaign Committee, $40,000

Senate Victory Fund, $40,000

Charitable Organizations:

Minnesota Teen Challenge, $85,892

Minnesotans' Military Appreciation Fund, $30,000

Minnesota Military Family Foundation, $30,000

Minnesota Patriot Guard, $20,000

Starkey Hearing Foundation, $25,000

Minnesota Ovarian Cancer Alliance, $20,000

Susan G. Komen for the Cure Minnesota Chapter, $20,000

Hope for the City, $20,000

Helping Paws, $20,000

Feed My Starving Children, $20,000
