Minnesota

The stimulus money isn't creating quite as many jobs as promised, reports MPR's Mark Zdechlik.

It turns out that collaboration between Minnesota and Wisconsin isn't panning out as hoped, either. The Associated Press finds joint efforts save less than $100,000 of the hoped-for $10 million in annual cost-reduction.

Energy Secretary and Nobel Prize winner Stephen Chu will be in Rochester today, sizing up Minnesota's alternative energy prospects. Democratic 1st District Congressman Tim Walz will no doubt be doing some arm twisting for his Wind Energy Promotion Act.

Congressional Democrats are shooting back at the Minnesota GOP's radio ads targeting Collin Peterson with health-care oriented ads running against Republicans Michele Bachmann and Erik Paulsen, according to CNN.

Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty is touting his state's health care policies in the Washington Post this morning.
