Ramstad calls for bipartisanship

Posted at 5:05 PM on June 26, 2009 by Tom Scheck (1 Comments)

I reported earlier that former GOP Congressman Jim Ramstad has met with supporters about a possible run for governor. We caught up with him after he gave a speech to the League of Minnesota Cities.

As I wrote in today's story on Ramstad, the speech was part pep rally, part campaign pitch. He leveled attacks on those who worry more about "the base" than the work of government. There are a few zingers in there as well. The theme of the speech was an increased need for bipartisanship.

You can have a listen to the speech here:

He will never get endorsed, if he runs. He'll have to go straight to a primary if he wants to run.
