DFL Rep. Collin Peterson discussed his opposition to the Climate Change legislation that's moving through Congress. He also said he has the votes to block the bill. You can listen to his interview here:
I listened to his interview this morning on my way to work. I disagreed with a number of things he said, but in particular I couldn't let his comment that 'Brasil doesn't even grow corn' go unmentioned. According to the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service, (http://www.pecad.fas.usda.gov/highlights/2008/04/Brazil/) corn crop production was expected to continue to increase. And one can see Brasilian corn yields dating back to 1960. jeez, if you're going to block this bill, do it with your facts straight.
