This is the third out of state event that Gov. Pawlenty will attend (that we know of) over the next few months. He's scheduled to speak to the Arkansas Republican Party on Friday and will speak at a GOPAC event in Chicago in August.

Update: Pawlenty is also scheduled to speak at the Western CPAC in October according to the group's twitter feed.

between last year's campaigning for McCain and this year's campaigning for himself, its hard not to wonder whether he has any time left to - you know - govern.

Maybe King Timmy can pick up on some Obama Waffles when he's gracing the Values Voters with his presence:

I bet Michele Bachmann stocked up on a freezerful last year.

This makes me think of the conversation they had on midmorning the other day about politicized language. I hate the term "Value Voters". It implies that anyone who decides their vote based on factors other than abortion or gay marriage either do not have values or do not live by them.

It's getting pretty obvious that Gov. Pawlently has had national ambitions on his mind for quite some time. I just hope that none of this travel will be on the state dime. We've all got to "tighten our belts" and "get by on less" after all.
