On Thursday, Gov. Pawlenty talked with reporters about his plans to balance the budget on his own. I posted the video in three parts below.

It seems that the Mr. Pawlenty. his spokesman and Mr. Siefert have engaged in such petty political comments that what Mr. Pawlenty is trying to accomplish through a media blitz is to deflect the role Mr. Pawlenty had in the results. If the bills were too large by 3 billion dollars, then he should have vetoed them. If the later tax bill had the revenues to pay for the spending, then he should sign have signed it.

The ultimatum shows that Mr. Pawlenty was not interested in compromise no matter how many times he may say that he had been in order to fool the public into thinking that was the truth. There was a legitimate difference of opinion and it should be recognized as such. Mr. Pawlenty needs to quit stating that this is the Legislature's fault and recognize that he was intstrumental in the outcome. When the politicans continue to repeat false information to the public, then the public does need to fear the imperial nature of those politicians.
