Elwyn Tinklenberg, the DFL candidate in Minnesota's 6th Congressional District, has released his second ad. It mentions GOP Rep. Michele Bachmann's comments on MSNBC's Hardball. Watch it here:

I must say: the Democrats who made this ad "get it," the Strib and the PiPress don't.
The Tinklenberg ad leads with Bachmann's call for an investigation of her fellow Americans in Congress for anti-Americanism in Congress. That comment, is why one million dollars in grass roots contributions flowed into Tinklenberg's campaign this weekend, from every state in the Union.
Yet the local coverage in the papers continues to suggest that the money came in primarily because Bachmann questioned Obama's patriotism. She did, but Republicans and conservatives do that every day--and no million dollars come in for their opponents as a result.
It was that "investigate anti-Americans in Senate and Congress" crack that created money out of nowhere for these Tinklenberg ads. The reporters at the big papers in Minnesota still don't get it, never got it: Bachmann's an extremist.
