Al Franken is on MPR's Midday right now.

Was that really former Governor Ventura calling into the show? It sounded like an impersonator.

I wonder if I am alone in thinking that the host did a terrible job today. Gary is typically excellent, but today he consistently followed Coleman talking points, most of which are totally absurd. Maybe this was an MPR effort to appear "fair"? Sounded at times too much like it was an interview conducted by Fox News.

Do you think Al Franken has some sort of ties with Governor Ventura - Maybe Al Franken put him up to this? Would someone please contact Mr. Ventura so we can clear this up?

I got to see my husband over the lunch hour today and as we were in the car listening to midday he remarked, "Wow Al Franken sounds great. I hadn't been paying much attention over the past few months but he's really improved on his Q&A a lot in the last year. He's ready."
