Gore and MoveOn work to elect Franken

We reported yesterday that former VP Al Gore will campaign with Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Al Franken next month. Today, Gore urged MoveOn.org readers to give money to Franken's campaign.

I thought it was illegal for a 527 to coordinate with a campaign in such a way.

don't think this is illegal b/c Franken, himself, is not making the ask...
