GOP pushes back on Palin

Posted at 10:30 AM on September 3, 2008 by Tom Scheck (2 Comments)

Gov. Pawlenty, former Mass. Gov Mitt Romney, former PA Gov. Tom Ridge, former Ohio Rep. Rob Portman and Michigan Congressman Pete Hoekstra defend Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's credentials to Minnesota's delegation. It appears to be an effort to push back on the press attention on her background and daughter.

Palin is scheduled to speak tonight.

We've been too hard on Sarah Palin, after all she is just as cute as a button. Who cares if she her executive experience included a world of 7500 people, she's spunky! Never mind that she's been out of the country precisely once in her life (unless you count driving across the Alcan Highway a couple of times as international travel). Why I'm sure that world leaders will be so busy checking out her caboose (which John McCain is apparently quite taken with) that they'll just forget about war and do whatever they can to please her - she does, after all, have such a sparklingly perky personality. That's right, we need a breath of fresh air. Maybe Dick Cheney can take her hunting. If Clinton was our everyman they've answered back with probably the most demeaning version of everywoman they can find.

Yeah, let's respect their privacy and keep the media away from poor Bristol. After all, that's why we're dragging the teenage boyfriend and father-to-be down to St. Paul to parade out with his soon-to-be teenage bride.
