Obama = Bungee jumping?

Posted at 6:56 PM on August 2, 2008 by Tom Scheck (1 Comments)

Gov. Pawlenty is campaigning in Iowa today on behalf of Republican John McCain. At an event in Des Moines, Pawlenty said voting for Barack Obama was like a high risk sport.

"The people of the United States and Iowa are wise," he said. "Voting for Obama is the political equivalent of bungee jumping."

Iowa Democrats, however, pointed out the McCain has opposed ethanol - something that could cause concerns among farmers across the Midwest.

"Voting for Obama is the political equivalent of bungee jumping," says Pawlenty.

Maybe so, but twelve years of a GOP congress and nearly eight years of a GOP presidency have shown us that voting for Republican John McCain would be like jumping without the "bungee."
