The Fix has Pawlenty at #2

Posted at 6:52 AM on July 26, 2008 by Tom Scheck (4 Comments)

The Fix's Veepstakes line still has Gov. Pawlenty at #2 on the Veepstakes line. Here's what Chris Cillizza wrote about Pawlenty:

2. Tim Pawlenty: Tpaw is the hot candidate this week with reports coming out of both Minnesota and Washington that things are looking good for the governor. And yet, when The Fix probed a bit deeper to find out what was behind the optimism, the best we came up with is that Pawlenty's body language has been very positive over the past few days. That's pretty thin gruel. Pawlenty, more so than any other politician on the Line, keeps his own political counsel so be wary of reports of what he knows or thinks he knows about his standing in the veepstakes. (Previous ranking: 2)

Cillizza has former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney rated as #1 on the GOP side.

On the Democrat side, Cillizza ranks Indiana Senator Evan Bayh at #1 and Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine as #2 for Barack Obama.

Meanwhile...

Jay Leno cracks some jokes at Pawlenty's expense.

Bush has taken our country to the brink of ruin and people are actually contemplating going with McSame for 4 more years of Bush?

We were once #1 in the world for educating our kids, we are now barely in the top ten.

Gas prices have tripled since Bush has been in office.

Foreclosure rates are skyrocketing. The housing crisis is expanding.

The national surplus under Clinton has now turned into a crushing national debt

Inflation rates are at their highest point in decades

After 8 years of Bush the stock market is still lower than its peak during the Clinton years.

Our national infrastructure is crumbling before our eyes and things that we once took for granted like bridges are falling down.

Bush bankrupted multiple businesses before he came into office and now he is about to bankrupt the largest and up until recently the most successful economy in the world.

And don't forget both the 9/11 and Katrina disasters happened during Bush's watch

Are you sure we want 4 more years of Bush policies with McSame?

We were once #1 in the world for educating our kids, but that was before we had a federal Department of Education.

Gas prices have tripled since the Democrats took Congress.

Foreclosure rates are skyrocketing. The housing crisis is expanding. All since the Democrats took Congress

The national surplus Clinton achieved using accounting methods that are illegal for private business owners by borrowing from Social Security and calling it income has now turned into a crushing national debt

Inflation rates are at their highest point since Democrat Carter was in office.

After 8 years of Bush the stock market is still lower than its irrational .COM bubble peak during the Clinton years, a bubble that crashed under Clinton and he failed to stop just ilke Bush with housing.

Our national infrastructure is crumbling before our eyes and things that we once took for granted like only one single bridge is falling down.

Bush bankrupted multiple businesses before he came into office and now he, with the help of Democrats in Congress passing irresponsible spending increases on top of Bush's irresponsible spending increases, is about to bankrupt the largest and up until recently the most successful economy in the world. We need a president like Obama who promises even more spending increases!

And don't forget both the 9/11 and Katrina disasters happened during Bush's watch, because Bush is responsible for the 60 years of bad Cold War foreign policy in the Middle East that incited the 9/11 terrorists and Bush also controls the weather. And Bush is personally responsible for all the New Orleaners who shot guns at rescue workers and raped and pillaged their own city.

How about this for a bumper sticker: "Nobody for President."

Romney is Pro Torture - waterboarding, the "chinese water torture." Then he wants to double or triple the size of Guantanimo Prison, when everyone else wants to close it down. Gen Douglas Macarthur said he would chase down anyone to the ends of the earth and prosecute them for advocating the Chiness Water Torture - these are the things our forefathers laid down their lives in battle for, fighting against, and Romney wants the Amercan government to commit these evil acts. His company made nothing, only raided other companies, stripped them of their assets, laid off everybody and pocketed the cash - Tax Free (the company was registered off-shore to avoid the IRS. Then, Mormon doctrine speaks of taking over the U.S. with one of their own some day and the leader would become 'god.'
Then he was Pro Abortion in Massachusetts, though somehow he was a good Mormon; then he allowed his state to become the first State in the Union with Gay Marriage - and he a Mormon bishop and missionary to France. Then, running for President he 'becomes' Pro-Life and protector of marriage! Then he slandered every day in the primaries his rivals - he was the only candidate with negative ads then. Then everyday he said lies - that his dad marched with Martin Luther King - it turned out 'he marched in his imagination.' he said.
What other evils would you like to know about Romney - that the murdering security firm Blackwater worked for him? Be scared, Americans, be very scared of this false shepherd, who spends his spare time reading scientologist Hubbard. This is the worst man to run for the leadership in American history - and if McCain selects him, then get ready for Armageddon.
