Al Franken is focusing his efforts on GOP Sen. Norm Coleman by linking him to President Bush, mocking Coleman's hockey ad and taking a statewide tour to tout a plan that he says will help the middle class.
But one of Franken's DFL challengers is hoping to keep Franken focused on the September primary. Priscilla Lord Faris has challenged Franken to three debates between now and the September 9th primary. She wants the debates to be held in Duluth, Mankato and the Twin Cities.
UPDATE: The Star Tribune reports that Franken rejected the debate request.
