Ron Paul supporters start a PAC

Posted at 4:34 PM on June 6, 2008 by Tom Scheck (5 Comments)

A new Political Action Committee has been filed with the Minnesota Campaign Finance Board. The PAC, Ron Paul Republicans, has been started by Bill Johnson of Coon Rapids and other Ron Paul supporters. Johnson said they're starting the PAC because they want to continue to get Ron Paul's message out. He said they'll support other Ron Paul like-minded people who are running for Congress, the Legislature and local positions.

"Our focus right now is to get Ron Paul like-minded people in political positions and start bringing the Republican Party back to its roots. We're trying to change the party from the inside," Johnson said.

One of those candidates, Johnson said, was Barbara Davis White. She's challenging DFL Rep. Keith Ellison in Minnesota's 5th Congressional District. Johnson said they started the PAC because they had concerns with how the Minnesota Republican Party treated Ron Paul supporters at last week's state party convention. He also complained that the nation is facing serious problems and there isn't a viable Republican candidate running for president.

"It's like we have two Democrats running for president. We want to make this the last year that we nominate a Democrat out of the Republican Party. McCain is too liberal," he said.

Johnson was careful to say that they're not courting Ron Paul supporters but Ron Paul like-minded people. He said the push to get Paul elected is fizzling out since some of the supporters already split into minor groups. Johnson said he's hopeful that the new PAC will continue to attract those who support limited constitutional government, low taxes and free markets.

"People don't turn into a Ron Paul supporter. They're Ron Paul supporters and just don't know it."

To all you McCainiacs

What should be important to everyone is whoever gets picked should fulfill their job according the country's rule book, the Constitution.

When you are watching professional sports everyone expects the judges to not take sides or have their own agenda. They are expected to make sure that both sides stick to the rules. I don't see why a President or any other person "SWORN" to uphold and defend it should have a "platform" The platform has been laid out since 1776 and if the rules are to change, there are appropriate ways to do it and that doesn't mean voting for the next Dictator because you like the platform of that Dictator.

For those of you that think America is a Democracy or that the Federal Reserve is Federal, please do your country and the rest of us a favor by staying home on election day. You are far too uninformed to be choosing our next leader. America is a Republic and the Federal Reserve is privately owned with 12 member banks.

For those of you who just can't figure out what it is going through the minds of the Paul supporters I would suggest for starters watching the online videos Overview of America and America Freedom to Fascism.

I think I can speak for most Paul supporters when I say that living in this country is like being on an ice burgh where the majority of the people want to ride it out while the Paul people are screaming from the roof tops to get off the burgh and into the boat but Americans think the boat is too nutty of an idea. We have been playing this game of arguing over Democrat versus Republican with each having their left or right platform and we then tend to vote based on that and forget all about the Constitution as do our leaders.

We are just trying to save the country from things that you are not yet aware of. Please understand this. Please just watch the videos and the light just might come on in your head.

I recommend reading "Liberal Fascism" by Jonah Goldberg. It really spells out how the modern Liberal Left is actually based on fascism, and how the Conservative Right (I'm talking true conservatives here, or rather, Classical Liberal thinking) is completely misunderstood. Ron Paul is a Classical Liberal, one who believes in limited government, personal responsibility and individual liberties as spelled out in the U.S. Constitution. The people on the Left are Fascists in American clothing, and most of them don't even realize it. They have no idea their intellectual heritage comes from the Progressive movement around the turn of the 20th century, inspired by Mussolini, Hitler and Stalin.

The mainstream media continues to couch things in partisan terms, Republican vs Democrat, but the reality is that both parties have become fascist platforms designed to take away your individual liberty and replace it with false security, political correctness, victim-hood mentality and identity politics.

And the glaring fact is that we are heading for financial ruin, all caused by bad government policies. Ron Paul is just echoing the true conservative platform of Barry Goldwater and Ronald Regan. He is reiterating Jefferson's warning about letting a central bank control the currency. He is reminding us of Franklin's assertion that when you sacrifice liberty for security you get neither.

John Mccains spiritual leader finds antichrist in his bible all over the place, when in fact it is only found in the epistles of John. And, it is not a man but a spirit. And ,it seems to be inspiring Pastor Hagee, Bush and McCain to protect and defend "Antichrist" governments of their choosing. Hagee can't tell a Jew from a Judahite or a Hebrew from a semite. Many are mislead by TV preachers, money makers. Christ will not only overturn their tables but call them like he sees them "you are of your father, the devil".

Read Ron Paul's books if you don't know much about him. I recommend his new one above all his other books. "The Revolution: A Manifesto."
