Obama will campaign at St. Paul's Xcel Energy Center on Tuesday night, just three months before Arizona Senator John McCain is expected to accept the Republican nomination at the same place. An Obama campaign staffer says the event will be free and open to the public. She says Obama will make his comments after the polls close in South Dakota and Montana.
Obama is leading New York Senator Hillary Clinton in the race for the Democratic nomination. This will be his second campaign appearance in Minnesota. Nearly 20 thousand people attended a campaign rally at the Target Center in Minneapolis in February. John McCain also has a Minnesota campaign stop on his schedule. He has a fundraiser scheduled in Minneapolis on June 19th.
