Governor Pawlenty submitted his budget offer to the House and Senate today. He offered to reduce his use of the Health Care Access Fund from $250 million to $125 million. In exchange, lawmakers are expected to make an additional $125 million in spending cuts to balance the state's budget. DFL House Majority Leader Tony Seritch said DFLers in the House and Senate will submit a counterproposal in the coming days.
