Governor Pawlenty vetoed the transportation bill today. DFL House Speaker Margaret Kelliher said they will hold the override vote on Monday. That means there will be plenty of politickin' going on over the weekend.
The Taxpayers League and the Minnesota Republican Party are urging supporters to contact lawmakers to ask them to uphold the governor's veto.
Supporters are also upping the ante. The Associated General Contractors of Minnesota say they're urging the six Republicans who voted for the bill to continue to back it. They are also lobbying the two Democrats who voted against it to vote for the override. Fresh Energy is also running this ad.
