The Senate overrides President Bush's veto of a water bill. Coleman and Klobuchar vote for the override.

Coleman is sponsoring resolution condemning states that issue driver's licenses to illegal immigrants residing in the United States.

Klobuchar is backing legislation that helps families care for older family members.

The U.S. House oks funding for the Hormel Institute. DFL Rep. Tim Walz is mentioned.

The Star Tribune says a U of M class is working to help the niece of a fellow student. The student is from Sudan. Coleman, Klobuchar and DFL Reps. Betty McCollum and Keith Ellison are mentioned.

India-West profiles DFLer Ashwin Media, who is running for Congress in Minnesota's 3rd Congressional District.

MinnPost says the DFL Party has some financial problems.

DFL Rep. Keith Ellison told Huffington Post that he has concerns if former NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani could become president:

"I have had more than a few people tell me that they are worried about that prospect [of Giuliani in the White House] and who identify Giuliani as a person who has little to no regard for the civil liberties and human rights of Muslims," Rep. Keith Ellison, D-MN, Congress' sole Muslim member, told the Huffington Post. "He is pandering to the fears of 9/11 and needs a boogeyman to do it."
