Pawlenty is getting back on McCain's Straight Talk express.

We mentioned in Thursday's Daily Digest that Governor Pawlenty is headed to Vermont to speak before the Grafton County GOP. That's Grafton County, New Hampshire (which is right on the New Hampshire/Vermont border). Pawlenty is the co-chair of Arizona Senator John McCain campaign for president. It appears that he'll be working on McCain's behalf in the coming months. Pawlenty also sat down with CBS News to talk about McCain's chances, the Pawlenty for VP talk and the nation's infrastructure.

I wonder if Gov. Pawlenty supports McCain's position to have former fed chairman Alan Greenspan to lead an overhaul of the nation's tax code even if Greenspan was dead.

I'm a lifelong Democrat who loves McCain. He actually worked a "Weekend at Bernie's" reference in? That's priceless!

Love his tough talk on Burma too. Way to go, McCain.

The media may have pronounced McCain dead in this campaign, but he's far from it. It feels like he's back to be a maverick and speaking his mind and I can't assure anybody that I wouldn't vote for him for President. He's as real as it gets. Word.

Pawlenty's continued support may turn out to be very shrewd indeed. Given what the other guys are offering, its not impossible that GOP primary voters will end up going with McCain. Unless they go with Huckabee.
