Pretend to be a candidate for president, and then consider seriously becoming one.
Where would someone come up with such an idea?
I think it would be a lot funnier if he didn't have a book to sell.
I guess you never heard of Pat Paulsen.
Reminds me of a story my sister told me. Many years ago she was sitting in Pat Paulsen's hotel suite on primary night (I don't recall the circumstances of her being there), watching the returns.
A bit after 8, Paulsen got up in that deadpan style of his said, "borrrrriiiiiinnnnnnnng," and left.
Why is it only a satirist like Colbert can point out the absurdities of our national elections?
(Collins: He's not the only one. He's just the one that has a TV show)
