As most of the country was watching the Boston Rex Sox beat up on the Cleveland Indians last night, the Republican candidates for president were beating up on each other at a debate in Orlando. Lots of coverage to choose from including NPR and the Washington Post.
State
Gov. Pawlenty and a Minnesota delegation are in India trying to drum up trade. The Star Tribune sent a reporter along and got a nice photo of the governor and Mrs. Pawlenty. MPR has a piece about an Indian company doing business here.
2008
Some, but not all, of the DFL candidates for Senate debate tonight at Carleton College in Northfield. Al Franken will be missing. Meanwhile the Star Tribune takes a close-up look at his stand on Iraq.
Sen. Norm Coleman is talking about the housing sector, not Iraq.
MPR takes a look at the ghost of political ads yet to come.
Former President Bill Clinton will be in Minneapolis Tuesday raising money for his spouse's campaign. And Sen. Barack Obama has a new ad in New Hampshire touting his outsider credentials.
We knew Howard Dean was here last week, but he wouldn't let us into one event to hear him, so we skipped the other event he did. The New York Times was there though.
Finally
Thank goodness she's gone. But given the dozens of print and broadcast stories over the past few weeks, what will we do without her?
