Finally
A diaper wearing monkey is on the loose! The digest loves monkeys. In fact, we love monkeys so much that we don't think the photo on the right side of the story is a monkey. I'm no primate expert, but I think it's an ape.
Tom, I heard you on the radio yesterday doing your report on the political fallout from the bridge collapse, fine report.
But what are you closing with the "diaper wearing monkey story" for? I keep sending people here to read the Daily Digest; I can't do that if you start doing the "that squirrel can water ski" stuff here.
Stay classy, Polinaut.
I for one love the "diaper-wearing monkey" closing bit - it is whimsical, and lightens the mood a bit - there are still lots of great links to explore and news to read, so I actually like the interjection of humor now and then.
And yes, you are correct - that is indeed a great ape. My husband took primatology courses in college and to this day he gets pissed when people point to chimps, gorillas, orangutans, etc. in the zoo and say "look at the cute monkey!"
