I knew her when

Congratulations to Ann Miron of Hugo, the newly crowned Princess Kay of the Milky Way.

Miron, 19, is the 54th Princess Kay, but she's the first I've ever known. I met Ann two years ago. She was one of seven high school students selected to participate in Governor Pawlenty's trade mission to China. I sat at her family's dining room table and interviewed Ann about her expectations for the trip. She also gave me a nice tour of the family's farm.
