Governor Pawlenty has until Friday to take action on the latest slate of bills that landed on his desk on Tuesday. One bill that faces a possible veto is the tax bill. City officials across Minnesota worry about a possible veto of the Tax bill. MPR and the Star Tribune have stories.

The Dairy investment tax credit is also in jeopardy.

The session is a a mixed bag for the West Metro says the Star Tribune.

Congress

DFL Sen. Amy Klobuchar tours the Gunflint Trail.

She, DFL Rep. Jim Oberstar and Gov,. Pawlenty are seeking aid for the area.

GOP Sen. Norm Coleman is backing a bill that would delay border security measures with Canada.

Politico says Minnesota sent the largest number of small business owners to the Chamber of Commerce's small business summit.

A conservation amendment put forward by DFL Rep. Tim Walz gets on the Farm Bill.

The Hill says the Iraq war vote splits Democrats in the House. Walz is mentioned.

This story says the war isn't just worrying Democrats. It says core Republican voters are also souring on the war. GOP Rep. Jim Ramstad is mentioned.

DFL Rep. Keith Ellison will participate in a union protest at the Minnesota State Capitol.

Forum Communications has a story on a proposed super corridor. DFL Rep. Collin Peterson says it will take twenty years to have an impact on Minnesota.

The Hill says there is a fight over airport construction. DFL Rep. Jim Oberstar is mentioned.

2008

The Star Tribune says Illinois Senator Barack Obama is coming on June 29th. I wonder where they got that tip.

Al Franken was on the Today show. You can access the video here. Nothing really new except that he can draw all fifty states in two minutes.

The Ciresi campaign is looking for a field organizer.

Roll Call says Tim Walz is unfazed by the slate of Republicans set to run against him (subscription required).
