Here's the info from the straw poll taken at the St. Paul DFL caucuses (I rearranged in terms of vote count):

St. Paul [3/6/07] – The St. Paul DFL held a straw poll for 2008 Democratic presidential hopefuls as part of the 2007 DFL precinct caucuses.

And the results are in!

It's sad when caucus members decide to pick party elite candidates in order to censor any form of political dissent towards the general population in which we independent voters out there, in the real world, are force to choose between two soda products in the crowd of politics: Cola and Diet Cola.

Other than the DFL itself is nothing more than a dinosaur, presumably on the verge of near extinction.

BC, what on earth are you talking about?

Some notes on the Al Gore votes are in order:

1) Al Gore was not the "the list" -- he only received votes as a write in.

2) I believe that very many Al Gore votes were counted as "Undecided"

I chaired my precinct -- two of us (out of 10) voted for Al Gore as a write in. When I turned in our results, the person running our Ward's caucuses recorded all Al Gore votes to "Undecided" since voting for a write in was for some reason against the rules (his rules or the party's, I'm not sure). Anyway, presumably Gore lost mine and many other votes this way.

TC - I'm not sure if you're taking issue with the numbers. If you are, take it up with Stu Alger since they came directly from him (he's the St. Paul DFL Chair). I have no idea how they were collected or counted. I just know this is what he sent out via e-mail.
