TN Senator-elect in town to raise $ for Coleman.

Tennessee Senator-elect Bob Corker will appear today at Norm Coleman's Fourth Annual Coleman for Senate Victory Celebration in St. Paul. The fundraiser comes at at time when Hotline's Chuck Todd ranks Coleman as the 4th most vulnerable Senate incumbent in 2008. Here's what Todd writes:

4) Minnesota (Republican Norm Coleman): Sen.-elect Amy Klobuchar's 20-point blowout win is encouraging to Democrats and worrisome to Republicans. But Democrats would have to be very lucky to avoid a fierce primary for a second cycle in a row. And Coleman's secret weapon could be Al Franken. If the comedian runs, he's not going to clear the primary field. There are a lot of Democrats who sat out '06 in favor of Klobuchar (like millionaire trial lawyer Mike Ciresi) who probably won't do that again. Franken's presence raises the profile of the race and benefits Coleman financially.

I wonder whether South Dakota Senator Tim Johnson's health will dominate the discussion at the fundraiser.

Any word on what interest Minnesota donors to the Coleman campaign would have in Bob Corker? It is curious to me that a Senator-elect from another state would have much value as a fundraiser before he's actually done anything.
