Fantasy Legislature I draft

Posted at 2:00 PM on December 25, 2006 by Bob Collins (4 Comments)

I had a little bit of time on my hands today (one of my sons is working today and so we had Christmas at my house yesterday), so I set up the Fantasy Legislature I league (Fantasy II is now accepting managers, 13 to go and then we shut the door.) I only had time to do one round.

Here's the results.

Pretty interesting. Just about everyone got their first pick. At the end of the round, some of the teams didn't get their first choice -- usually Jim Abeler or Ellen Anderson, picks that went in the middle of the round.

And one GOPer was selected. Laura Brod by.... Brod Appeal.

This week we'll be setting up the whole Web site, I'll write the spreadsheet, and set up some method by which managers can communicate with each other and probably get going writing a little analysis. Even folks who don't have teams will be able to see the whole shootin' match.

More as it happens.

Three Republicans: Rep. Steve Smith is also a Republican.

I will have a diary, including a grade of picks so far at MN Campaign Report. One error is that Steve Smith is listed as a DFL, when he is in fact a Republican.

I will have to say though... I am deeply disappointed with my competition so far.
