Posted at 4:43 PM on November 10, 2006 by Tom Scheck (1 Comments)

MPR's Tim Pugmire just came back from the Senate Republican Caucus meeting. He reports that they elected Rochester Senator Dave Senjem as Senate Minority Leader. Geoff Michel of Edina, David Hann of Eden Prairie, Michelle Fischbach of Paynesvill and Betsy Wergin of Princeton will serve as Assistant Majority Leaders. Senjem was elected to his second term on Tuesday.

Three down (Senjem, Speaker-elect Kelliher and Senate Majority Leader Larry Pogemiller) and one to go. Marty Seifert, Steve Smith of Mound and Erik Paulsen of Eden Prairie are in the running for House Minority Leader. They meet next week.

Kelliher? Clark? Sertich? The DFL must want to give the GOP ammo..... Pogey makes sense, Bakk had some loyalty issues in his past, not necessary valid concerns, but there nonetheless.

I am done with caucusing, the wingnuts are no longer contained there, they've now moved into legislative leadership too.
