I like political blogs, I really do. I liked 'em a little more 6 months ago than I do today since many of them are mirroring the campaigns they favor and campaigns at this time of the year are generally completely lacking perspective and touch with reality, in my opinion.
Last week, Google Alerts -- which has always been a handy tool -- started including blogs in the alerts and I wonder if you use Google alerts, whether you've noticed it too and, moreover, whether you find that helpful.
I use Google alerts all the time for work and for campaign related articles. Some of the blog entries have appeared from the beginning, but I haven't noticed any new ones recently. It's a very handy tool.
I find Google Alerts to be very helpful, although they're somewhat slow in getting their items included in your e-mails. If you really want to get notified as soon as something is published online, you still need to check your resources yourself.
Their inclusion of blogs is spotty at best, because the topics I get alerted to rarely show up as blog entries even though I know they're being discussed on dozens of them out there.
I don't use google alerts, but just received a corporate-wide email on how helpful they can be to track our clients.
