Senator Dallas Sams fighting cancer for second time

Senate Media Services sent out a news release saying Sen. Dallas Sams (DFL-Staples) is again battling a malignant tumor. Sams successfully battled a brain tumor in 2005. He says his doctors have found a new growth and are working for a new treatment protocol.
Sams is seeking is sixth term in the Minnesota Senate and says he has no plans to suspend his campaign.
The feature examines statements made by Minnesota politicians and checks them for accuracy. Based on data analysis, document reviews and interviews with non-partisan analysts, statements are rated either true, false or inconclusive.
